RAGE, SHAME AND HEARTBREAK HAVE BEEN SOME OF MY MOST PROFOUND TEACHERS.

GRIEF HAS AN INCREDIBLE CAPACITY TO STIP ME BARE, AND IN NAKEDNESS THERE IS A PLACE I DON’T HAVE THE WORDS FOR YET.

TRANSFORMATION IS SOMEWHERE NEARBY, ITS SOUNDS AND TEXTURE AND FRAGRANCE LETTING ME KNOW THAT I DON’T KNOW, AND LOVE IS ALL THERE IS.

I’m Kathy Lea, artist/musician, a white woman who is committed to tending to the legacies and wounds of my emergence and inheritance into this time and place.

Commitment to remember, cultivate and embody sacredness with/and through singing, songwriting, music, performance, prayer, painting, gatherings, art therapy, and gardening and growing food and tea in community.

With the support of Buddhist teachings and creative and devotional practices, my hope is to co-nurture containers where we can be honest about how oppression lives in our daily lives, attitudes, choices, and relationships (especially with ourselves!). Being present and honest empowers us in birthing the world we dream of.
